The Maryland Association of Forest Conservancy District Boards and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Forest Service conduct a one-week summer workshop for high school students interested in pursuing margin a career in forestry and natural resources. The workshop, located at the Hickory Environmental Education Center in Accident, Maryland, will expose students to natural resource professionals in forestry, water resources, and  other related disciplines. Students interested in these professions as careers are able to become familiar with the nature of the work, educational requirements, and employment opportunities. A total of 48 students representing each county and Baltimore City will be selected by their local Forestry Board. Each selected student may be awarded a full scholarship. You must be entering the 9th grade at the time of the workshop to be eligible.
