School Site Based Environmental Education
MSDE/CPD #: 01-03-17R CPD Credit: 2 Graduate Credit: 0 Prerequisite Notes: None Special Notes: School Site Based Environmental Education is sponsored by the Maryland DNR Forest Service, the Baltimore County Forest Conservancy District Board and the Baltimore County Public Schools Office of Science. Participants will be introduced to three environmental education guides: Project Learning Tree, Project WILD and Project WET (Water Education for Teachers). Content of the course includes linking the environmental education guides with the Essential Curriculum for hands on activities and assessment; an overview of resources available to teachers through the Department of Natural Resources; and a field tour on the final day.
